Introduction of repeater

A repeater is the simplest and most inexpensive network interconnection device used to extend the network distance in the LAN environment. It operates on the physical layer of the OSI. The repeater has the function of amplifying and regenerating the signal on the line, which is used to extend the length of the LAN segment (only for connecting the same local network segment).

RP repeater is a device to connect network lines. It is commonly used for bidirectional forwarding of physical signals between two network nodes. The repeater mainly completes the function of the physical layer, and is responsible for transmitting the information on the physical layer of the two nodes, and completing the function of copying, adjusting and amplifying the signal in order to extend the length of the network.
